I started building scenes and telling stories through collage in 2004. I still collect and create collages today, using a variety of materials. Lately I’ve also been combining the concrete work with digital manipulation, scanning individual cut-outs and resizing them to fit a scene they had otherwise been the wrong proportions for, adding aspects that were impossible in the paper space and fixing physical errors to create a cleaner final product. There are some ongoing experiments with purely digital collages, but I still love cutting out tiny items and placing them on the page to make little tales or present ideas.
